Gottsgrub Purge doctor - Gerhard Henten

Part of a new universe i am working on, this guy is part of a continent called Gottsgrub.
This area has turned into a toxic wasteland, after the "Purge of Gottsgrub". The purge was was initiated by the religious court in Gottsgrub, after the migration got "out of control" and "tainted the holy land". Gottsgrub has become almost uninhabitable, most parts of this mountain engulfed pit is still filled with poisonous smog caused by the purge virus. the virus was designed to decay after a few days, but was kept active due to the countless crucifixions of decease filled corpses.
This was a short introduction to the land of Gottsgrub...
The Purge doctor himself - Gerhard Henten - sympathized with the immigrants during the pruge, and worked as a medic and took care of the sick, he eventually became a inspiration of hope for many immigrants. As this was seen as treason, he was sentenced to a horrible death by the church - when they finally caught him, they strapped him in a straitjacket and threw him in a basin of virus filled water, and left him to drown. This was a horrible death that no one could have survived, yet a creature wearing Gerhard usual attire and iconic hat is still wandering in Gottsgrub... taking revenge on the remaining religious fanatics, and cutting down crucified immigrants and "traitors" - freeing there immortal spirit. 

It is my intention to create a universe with a short description of each area / land / continent, and have characters each with their own story that adds to the story of this universe.
